Director: David Cason
Commencing with the 2017-18 season, the director of the Arco Bello Youth Orchestra is David Cason. Mr. Cason has been the principal cellist of the Sherman Symphony since 1996 and performs regularly with the Dallas Bach Society and the Greater Texoma Orchestra. Mr. Cason has extensive experience in arranging for strings with a special emphasis on contemporary popular music. He attended the University of North Texas where he studied cello with Carter Enyeart.
Director Emeritus: Suellen Davis
Ms. Davis is the founder of the Arco Bello Youth Orchestra. A career music educator, she has served as orchestra director at Dillingham Intermediate School and Piner Middle School in Sherman, TX. She also founded and directs the strings program for St. Mary’s School, Sherman.
