Arco Bello Youth Orchestra

Arco Bello Youth Orchestra is an educational string orchestra that serves students in the Texoma area. We provide young string musicians the opportunity to learn and perform in an ensemble setting. The Arco Bello musical experience includes an exploration of a wide variety of musical genres, both classical and popular.

Admission Requirements

Age

ABYO admits students from ages 10-adult.

Younger students of exceptional ability and maturity may be admitted on a case-by-case basis.


Playing Level

Students range in ability from intermediate to advanced.

The following minimums are recommended so that the student may enjoy full participation.

  • Two-octave scales in C, G, D, A, F, and Bb
  • 4/4, 3/4, and 6/8 time signatures
  • Rhythm reading through 16ths

Other Requirements

The student must bring the following items to each rehearsal:

  • Instrument
  • Folding music stand
  • Music binder (provided at enrollment)
